Preventive Care Coaching Programs

What is preventive care coaching?

Preventive care coaching is one-on-one education and guidance that helps you achieve goals related to a healthy lifestyle change. Sessions are held by phone, scheduled at a convenient time for you during local business hours Monday through Friday.

Coaching is held either weekly or every other week, with possible follow-up emails or activities occurring on the off weeks. Although there are a variety of topics within each program, coaching content and timeline is based on individual needs and personal goals.

Preventive care coaching is for TRICARE West Region beneficiaries only.


Basics of Healthy Eating

Coaching sessions range from 4-8 weeks.

The sessions are designed to educate and help you accomplish your personal goals around eating healthier. You will have bi-weekly coaching sessions with your coach, to allow you time to transfer education/learning and skills into action. You will be encouraged to take weekly action steps that will lead to continuing long-term lifestyle habits.

If you have had struggles with starting or staying on a healthy eating plan, this program may be for you.

Stress Management

Coaching sessions range from 6-12 weeks. 

The sessions are designed to educate and help you accomplish your personal goals around managing and reducing the effects of stress. You will have bi-weekly coaching sessions with your coach. You'll be encouraged to take weekly action steps to practice techniques that can lead to long-term lifestyle habits. In addition to learning a variety of tips and techniques for managing stress, a variety of topics affecting stress are offered: constructive thinking and mindfulness, sleep health, physical activity and nutrition, balance and time management, and communication tips.

If you are ready to take steps to learn techniques to relax and reduce stress, this program may be for you.
